Mondays are for procrastinating....... apparently.

Tomorrow the kids and I are heading back out to PA to hold down the family homestead while both my parents are away traveling. So while my mother is off to Scotland and my father is traveling for buisness the task of caring for Bella and TJ (the horses) fall to my youngest sister and me.

We all love spending time out there, but the amount of stuff I need to pack for four days of schooling away from home is ridiculous. So today has seen me running around a little crazy. There were also certain things that needed done that called for my full attention.

The first thing being the hair of the littlest one. Which if you parent a child of a different ethnicity can be a big deal. Untangling that mass of curls can take a while so we have a little routine set up that makes it more enjoyable for both of us.

Here he is modeling how it turned out.

I also had to take lots of self portraits to make the Mr. a card to remember me by while I'm gone ;)

I admit, I may have gotten a bit carried away at this part. But here is what I ended up with.

I also learned a very valuable lesson today. While your upstairs in the bathroom taking self indulgent pictures of yourself, don't forget that you left Bravo on the TV downstairs. Because your kids might just watch The Rachel Zoe show and decide you need a makeover. I kid you not. When I went into my room I found the "fabulous" outfit they set out for me to wear.

Ah well, it's back to packing for me now. I've gotta nip this procrastinating in the bud.

Until next time.....
