Ezra's Disappearing Act

Winter Blah

Ok, so I've been pretty much crap at anything this week other than trudging through school. And I do really mean trudging. Funny thing is, it isn't the kids complaining. It's totally me. I’m the one moaning and groaning about getting out of bed and dragging my heels throughout the day. Not sure what my funky mood is all about. Hopefully I can kick my but into gear this weekend. I've got some big projects on my plate at the moment, which actually requires my full participation.

But enough of my whinging. There have been a few fun things this week worth mentioning. Most exciting of all being a trip to the land of Swedish discounts.

I have a long-standing love affair with Ikea and their cake.

Also, iTunes has $6.99 compilations of 90's music. This might not be that interesting to most people but I for one found it very exciting.  I'm listening to Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve as I type. It makes me feel nostalgic, and kinda old. Maybe tonight calls for a Buffy marathon.

Extra Vacation Pictures

Vacation

So right after the snow we skipped town with my family for a little R&R in Florida, Disney World specifically. Our family of five, plus my parents, two sisters, my brother in law and nephew all flew out together. We made quite the sight traipsing through the airport. Especially since we almost missed our first flight. I was a little nervous because my kids haven't flown since we came back from Ethiopia almost three years ago. But everyone was pleasantly surprised when all three kids and three month old William took to traveling like champs. I wish I had taken some pictures at the airport but alas getting the camera out was the last of my thoughts.

We all stayed at Animal Kingdoms Kidani Village. The rooms were beautiful but the view from the balcony was really what made the place. Everybody loved being able to watch the animals.

Most of our time was spent in the parks, trying to do and see as much as we could. We did Disney with Jael and Ezra a few years ago but this was Mateos first trip. There was nothing cooler than watching him see all the sights for the first time. Though, he wouldn't believe he was at Disney World until he got to see Mickey Mouse.

We had Dinner with the Princesses.

We got to meet the faeries.
*my personal favorite*

Took picture with a few of the kids favorite characters.

Rides, and more rides.

The one ride I wish I had some kind of picture from is the Tower of Terror; which, if you will believe it, Ezra and Jael both rode with me and Aunt Rachel. I was shocked that they weren't afraid. Ezra just walked off the ride with a dazed look in his eyes saying it was "totally awesome."

We had fantastic dinners.

And it wouldn't be my blog if I didn't have at least one picture of food.

It was really a great time away, of course getting back into things at home have been tricky, that vacation mindset kind of sticks with you for a while.

Things I wanted to blog about but didn't quite get to

1.
Bleaching all my hair and playing dress up with my sister.
It's fun for adults too, believe me.

*I had to cut lots of my hair off after this little play date. It was totally worth it though.*

2.
Snow Storms

3.
Some Christmas pictures

* The infamous pillow pet. Ezra named him Dr. Coo Coo Beak.*

4.
A yummy New Years Eve

5.
